Celebrating the close 0f 2006 seeking the Living presence of God

December 31, 2006

Sunday        December 31, 2006        New Year’s Eve Day

Lucia sent me a signed copy of Ralph Martin’s newest book, The Fulfillment Of All Desire,  a Guidebook for the Journey to God based on the Wisdom of the Saints.   I tucked it away until  my mornings would once again become  exclusive opportunities for me  to experience God’s Presence all around me and once again breathe Him into my interior being.  Today is one of these mornings.

When I awaken and seek His Face, my days are filled with His Living Presence within me.  The more I empty myself of “me, myself and I” the more God the Father , God the Son and God the Holy Spirit make their dwelling with me.  The reality that God wants to live in me is a Mystery that only God comprehends.  The only thing I need to respond to this invitaiton, to R.S.V.P. to my very own wedding feast, is a  heart that is willing to lay down and die for Love Incarnate.   Intellect and Will only gets in the way if it is not in transfroming union with God’s Will.  My darkened intellect and my self-will  keeps me rooted in serious sin and blinds me to Truth.  Bringing my “secret-life” out into the Light is the only way for me to move out of the darkeness of sin.  The Blessed Mother’s humility of heart is the only  antidote to the intellectual pride of her arch-enemy, the devil. As  the father of lies and the embodiment of the spirit of the anti-Christ, Lucifer the “angel of light” only knows to lure and seduce.  He thrives in darkness and  secrecy and once we have taken a bite of his apple, we keep going back for more until we return to our senses through Grace.

The Hour of Grace                                                                                                                             O Grace! O holy Grace!    Before there was a village bell         Before it had a tale to tell           And war enveloped every race           And sorrow dwelt on every face,   O Grace, O holy Grace.                                                                O Grace! O saving Grace!     In the days before the birth of worth     When famine starved the dying earth     A child was born in the poorest place     In the poorest town of the poorest race           O Grace! O saving  Grace!                                                                                                                                                       O Grace! O amazing Grace!     For with the tiny child at childbirth     Came the heavenly gift of grace to earth     No myrrh or gold can take its place     No worldly gift can death displace       O Grace! O amazing Grace!                                          O Grace! O redeeming Grace!     The tinsel keyboard rings your song     The choir of children sings along     All heaven has come at childbirth!     All earth has gained its heavenly worth!     O Sing, the song of redeeming Grace!                                   O Holy Grace! O Saving Grace!     Amazing Grace! Redeeming Grace!     On our tiny earth may you keep your place!                                                                     VincentdePaulCurran                                                                                                    Christmas 2006                                                                                              Glory to God in the highest for sharing the Son’s Song of Grace!
